Pointing of domains

Notice that there is a difference between pointing a domain and moving a domain. When you move a domain, you move it "physically" over to another name server (DNS). This is to say that Active24 no longer has responsibility for administration of the domain.

When you point a domain it remains on the same name server, but the specifications/address (A/MX Record) to the server that houses the web- or the e-mail services for your domain are changed. You can for example point the web (A-record) towards a server (with the ISP/supplier of it), and point e-mail (MX-record) towards another server (with another ISP/supplier of it).At the same time the domain is on Active24 name server. You can read more about how do this here:

Redirect/Frame forward.
NOTE! Pointing of A-Records and CNAMEs must not be confused with Redirects or Frame

Forwards of a domain towards an alternative webpage or domain name.
It will say that you don’t have the possibility to use MyAccount to decide on what a domain name for example. Exampledomain.info will point to or show the same information as exampledomain.biz. If you want to go ahead with it you must send an e-mail from the registered e-mail address (as found in Contact Data in MyAccount) to   support@mamutactive24.co.uk . Type the following into the subject field of the e-mail, depending on which your request is for:

Redirect: exampledomain.info towards exampledomain.biz

or

Frame forward: exampledomain.info towards exampledomain.biz

Redirect changes the address in the browser to the address that it points to. Frame forward keeps the address typed into the browser but shows the page that is registered to the address that it is pointing to.
