Who are Active 24?
Active 24 was founded in 1998 in Oslo Norway, known back then as Active ISP. The company has since grown steadily and become a leading provider of website, domain, email and hosting services in Europe. Active 24 took an active role in the consolidation of the industry through the acquisition of other several hosting companies; Carambole in (2001), Loopia in Sweden (2005), Ladot in the Netherlands (2002), Virtual Internet (2003) in the UK, Globe Internet (2004), Internet Club (2005) and CP Online (2005) in the Czech Republic and Cybernetix in Poland (2005). The company and all subsidiaries were re-branded as Active 24 in 2004 and listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in November the same year, with the vision to deliver “Powerful hosting – Surprisingly easy"! In 2006 Active 24 was acquired by Mamut ASA and delisted from Oslo Stock Exchange. Mamut integrated Active 24 hosted services into their existing software business creating a new Software + Services strategy. In the summer of 2011 Mamut ASA was acquired by Visma and delisted from Oslo stock exchange. Post-acquisition Visma decided to refocus on the Active 24 Hosting business and the Active 24 Group become a pure shared hosting division within the Visma Group. As of the 1st of January 2012 our work with the new Active 24 begun! Today Active 24 serve over 300,000 small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and private individuals helping them create robust online identities. A pan Europe provider we have operations across; Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Spain, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Poland, and Serbia.
