WordPress Multi-language. Does your WordPress website receive visits from all over the world? Time to change your WordPress website into a Multi-language site. Install multi-language plugins or use Automated machine translation. How to create a multilingual page in WordPress?

Manual vs Automated Machine Translation

Various options exist to translate a WordPress website into many languages. Which option to choose depends on your target audience:

Manual translation

For specific local markets a manual translation is the best option.
The advantages of a manual translation are:

  1. It guarantees high-quality translated business pages.
  2. Optimized for Search Engines (SEO).
  3. Pages traceable in all languages the site is translated into.
  4. Translation is of professional quality.

Automated Machine translation

For general world markets, an Automated machine translation is the most affordable option to attract web visitors worldwide.
The advantages of an automated translation are:

  1. The website is accessible to anyone speaking any foreign language.
  2. It translates more content instantly.
  3. Content translation delivery is faster than a manual translation.

Yet, it is not perfect. The disadvantages of an automated translation are:

  1. The translated page does not exist. The translation only takes place when a web visitor selects a specific language.
  2. Pages traceable only in the original language.
  3. Translation is of low quality.
  4. The translated text does not always make sense, which confuses web visitors.
  5. Translation errors often occur.
